About Harkless 3D Designs
Founded in 2023 during his sophomore year of college, Harkless 3D Designs was created by Josh Harkless with the goal of producing high-quality, functional storage solutions. In 2026, Josh graduated RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology) with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus in Aerospace Engineering, and his engineering background continues to influence every product through precision fitment, durability, and efficient design.
Alongside engineering and entrepreneurship, Josh also competed as a collegiate wrestler and earned the title of NCAA Division III Wrestling National Champion, an experience that helped shape the discipline, consistency, and work ethic behind Harkless 3D Designs and its commitment to quality craftsmanship.
The Product That Started It All
Josh Harkless began this business in the summer of 2023, with a very unique idea for creating additional tool storage for Cricut crafting machines. His mother has always loved crafting, and one day Josh noticed that she had an excess amount of tools with no convenient place to store them without taking up desk space. Josh decided to design a custom-fit tool caddy for her Cricut machine, to attach directly onto the machine to store all of her essential tools at her fingertips. From there, one proud mom post on social media did the rest and kicked this unique 3D printing business into gear! The Craft Storage Buddy is now a unique, patent pending product available in our store!
Since then, Josh has shifted focus to the coin and bullion storage world and has built a unique and comprehensive product catalog!
